Remember when a kid used to wreck havoc in the yard? With cousins and friends close to his heart
Remember the conspicuous silence of pranksters? Followed by mischiefs and burst of laughters
Remember intervening those kids’ fights?
Some would easily quell and rest went on through the night
Remember those tears at the thought of parting ways? A few miles seemed worlds away
Remember all the silly embarrassing questions he would ask? Made you lose your calm composed mask
Remember his wonder and curiosity for things? At times sheer hostility to all your teachings
Remember how fast all those years went by?
Seasons came and gone, time continued to fly
Remember one day he took off for the maiden flight? Away from the home and out of the sight
That kid’s grown up now and we live in parallel worlds, seasons still arrive as scheduled but never together for us
But ‘Remember’ all this for one more reason,
We’d always share a common season, where all our memories are forever frozen…
⁃ That kid.
